This is a beautiful nature park with trails to walk and a variety of wildlife to watch. There are big plans for upgrades in the future too!
Very nice nature walk with 2 loops, a small fountain and a ampitheatre. Great place to run or walk.
It's a small three-quarter of a mile park that has a very clear and easy to follow walking path. There is a section of tall grass and a section of forest. There are many birds here as the park's service has installed a multitude of birdhouses. The path is mostly dirt or sand which makes it difficult to walk if has has been raining.
My only dislikes are really that it is too small and even though Monticello is not a bustling city, the traffic is near enough and loud enough to drown out the natural voice of the environment. Its good for a short walk or a different background if jogging but get used to going in a repetitive loop and seeing the same sights over and over if you frequent this place often.
Love it because it's Dog Friendly...
